Angie Morris
Hi there, my name is Angie. I’ve been married to Chris for 30 years, and we have five children, ranging from 25 years old to 12. My personal birth journey has been all over the place. I’ve experienced a C-section, three VBACs, one adoption, and sadly several miscarriages. It’s all of this that has pushed me to get the training I needed to help others.
I started my doula journey in 2017 after a sweet conversation with my children about “when I grow up.” I never imagined how much I would love and feel called to this work, and so I began…
I received my training through Dona International and have had the privilege of working alongside amazing doctors and midwives both at the hospital and at home births. I am also a professional member of Evidence Based Birth®, where I frequent continuing education on the best practices in the field.
I believe each mother has the right and privilege of embracing the experience of birth and the right to make it her own personal experience with as many of her wishes carried out as possible. I believe women helping women still stands true today, as it has for centuries, as part of God’s plan.
The word “doula” comes from the Greek word “doule,” which means female servant. Simply, that is what I plan to be for you.
When I’m not helping women through the childbirth process, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, traveling, and being outdoors. I have a great love of the water and the beach especially calls to me!
